The Ceylon Cold Stores ice cream and beverage factory in Ranala has been manufacturing and distributing Elephant House soft drinks and ice creams since 1997, and is one of the most efficiently operated production environments in Sri Lanka.
During our production process here at Ranala, we follow stringent quality standards that abide by SLS and ISO certifications. Our products and our manufacturing processes comply with all local and global regulatory requirements.
The beverage and ice cream factory at Ranala is equipped with its own essence manufacturing plant which produces ginger extracts and vanilla essences from real vanilla and ginger sourced by local farmers.
All product innovations and new product developments are done within our modern research and development facility by qualified in-house food scientists in collaboration with our marketing and consumer insights teams.
We are equipped with a modern warehouse and cold room facility for soft drinks and ice cream managed by sophisticated warehouse management systems operated by a highly qualified and skilled team.
Keeping with the CCS sustainability practices, we have implemented stringent steps at the Ranala factory for water and energy conservations including the use of biomass and solar power to energize our facilities. All the effluent generated at Elephant House factory in Ranala is treated before being released thereby ensuring minimal impact to our environment. And the warehousing facilities are equipped with battery operated material handling equipment in order to ensure zero-emission.
